It is unfortunate that on account of lack of communication between the Office of the District Magistrate, Jalaun and the Office of the Accountant General, the amount of provident fund, payable to the petitioner, remains withheld. Petitioner has attained the age of superannuation on 28.09.2009.
Shri Satish Chaturvedi, on the basis of instructions obtained from the Accountant General's Office, states that the withheld amount of GPF was directed to be released way back in the year 2014. A further letter has been sent on 27.07.2018 stating that authorization letter has not been received from the Office of the District Magistrate concerned.
This Court cannot approve of the action of respondents in denying payment of provident fund to the petitioner only because two offices have not been able to correspond with each other.
As a last indulgence, let this matter appear in the additional cause list on 16.08.2018.
In case the amount withheld is not paid till the next date of listing, the District Magistrate concerned and the Accountant General shall remain present personally before this Court, along with records.
