Madras High Court|22 March, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The order passed by the VI Assistant City Civil Court, Chennai dated 12 October 2012 directing the parties to maintain status quo is under challenge in this civil revision petition on the ground that even before the said order, the film has already been released.

2. The suit filed by the first respondent in O.S.No.4495 of 2012 is still pending before the Trial Court. The issue raised by the first respondent in the civil suit is pending adjudication. I am therefore of the view that there is no need to consider the correctness of the order passed by the Trial Court way back on 12 October 2012. The learned Trial Judge is directed to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible.
3. The civil revision petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2012 is closed.
