JUDGMENT / ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction for speedy disposal of the unnumbered CMP. in Crime No.440 of 2014 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Harur.
2. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.440 of 2014 for the offence under Sections 120(b),211 and 500 IPC and after investigation the respondent police filed a closure report, referring the same as a mistake of fact before the Judicial Magistrate Court. After that the petitioner said to have filed protest petition and the learned Judicial Magistrate adjourning the matter time to time without any reason whatsoever. In the above circumstances, the present criminal original petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State and perused the materials available on record.
4. Since the protest petition has been filed as early as on 01.09.2016, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Harur is directed to pass order on the protest petition filed by the petitioner on merit in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
