Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; learned A.G.A. for the respondents 1 and 2; and perused the record.
The instant petition seeks quashing of the first information report dated 16.04.2017 registered as Case Crime No.168 of 2017, under Sections 420, 467, 471, 120-B, 406, 504, 506 IPC, P.S. Civil Lines, District Meerut.
It is alleged in the first information report that the informant was promised a job in a Gulf country. On that promise and visa provided by the accused he went to Sharjah where he was kept in confinement for 22 days and letters of appointment that were provided were found forged.
The learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners have been falsely implicated.
Learned A.G.A. has obtained instructions and has informed the Court that material has been found against the petitioners during the course of investigation and the investigation is pending.
There is no cogent reason shown in the petition as to why the petitioner has been falsely implicated. Even otherwise, it is not demonstrated in the petition as to in what capacity the petitioner had arranged for Visa as well as job for the informant.
In view of the above, we do not find any good reason to quash the first information report. The petitioners are at liberty to apply for bail. The petition is dismissed.
