JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to take action against the fourth respondent, the then President, under Section 205(1)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, against the illegal acts committed by him.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent.
3. It is a common knowledge that the posts of President, Vice President, etc., are no more in existence and therefore, this Court is of the view that no further order is required to be passed in this petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. But, it is made clear that it is open to the respondents 1 to 3, to initiate appropriate legal action, against misappropriation of public funds, if any. No costs.
