JUDGMENT / ORDER

By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the first respondent / the Commissioner of Survey and Settlement, Chennai, to pass orders on his pending representation dated 29.08.2016 requesting to revise the seniority and consequential service benefits.
2. Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader, by accepting notice for the respondents, seeks some more time to consider his pending representation on merits.
3. Considering the limited prayer of the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to pass orders on the pending representation dated 29.08.2016 of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
