The applicant is an accused in Case Crime No. 1203 of 2014 under Sections 302 and 120-B I.P.C., registered at Police Station Kasya, District Kushi Nagar.
From a perusal of the first information report and other material it appears that the allegation against the applicant is that he is one of the assailants. It is stated that another co-accused has been enlarged on bail.
A statement has been made at the Bar that the statement of P.W.-2 has been recorded before the trial court in July, 2017 and the applicant is in jail since 4.7.2014.
I have heard learned counsel for the applicant and the learned A.G.A..
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, in my view, ends of justice would be subserved by issuing a direction to the trial court to conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably within eight months.
Learned counsel for the applicant assures the Court that no unnecessary adjournment will be sought on behalf of the applicant.
With the aforesaid observations the bail application is disposed of.
