to give adequate police protection to the petitioner herein to save his life from the illegal assault of the above said Kuppusamy, his son, his associates and his henchmen.
For Petitioner : Mr.N.Damodaran For R1 to R2 : Mr.C.Emalias, APP For R3 to R7 : Mr.A.Arokiadoss ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner herein to save his life from the illegal assault of the private respondents herein.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced a copy of the letter of the petitioner dated 25.03.2017 addressed to the second respondent, wherein, it has been specifically stated by the petitioner that based on his complaint, enquiry was conducted on 19.03.2017 and adequate police protection was provided by the respondent. Further, CCTV camera was also affixed in the property in question.
3. In view of the above, this Court is of the view that there is no threat as alleged in this petition. Hence, recording the statement made by the petitioner in his letter dated 25.03.2017, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
