THE HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No. 1559 of 2014 ORDER: (Per the Hon’ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 28.04.2014 passed by this Court in P.I.L.No.124 of 2014.
Sri R. Radhakrishna Reddy, learned Standing counsel for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, appearing for the respondent states that in compliance with the aforestated order, the Corporation issued proceedings dated 12.08.2014 rejecting the complaint made by the petitioner in the public interest litigation. A copy of the said proceedings is also placed on record.
In the light of the aforestated fact, it is clear that the order of this Court has been duly complied with.
The contempt case is accordingly dismissed. In the event, the petitioner is aggrieved by the proceedings passed by the Corporation, it would be at liberty to challenge the same by way of independent proceedings in accordance with law.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
