Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
Grievance of the petitioners are that though under the direction issued by the Regional Transport Officer, the petrol buses being plied by the petitioners for transporting school children were converted into CNG vehicles by installing CNG Kits but despite having made application and reminders, approval is not being granted with the result the petitioners are not being able to ply the buses.
Considering the facts, we dispose of the writ petition by giving liberty to the petitioners to make a fresh application seeking approval before the respondent no. 3, Regional Transport Officer, Allahabad along with a certified copy of this order within two weeks from today, with a direction to the said authority that in case any such application is made, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law and after due verification of the buses within a further period two weeks from the date of making of the application.
