The petitioners have approached this Court with the following prayers :
“i. Issue a writ of certiorari or such other writs, order or direction quashing Ext. P1, P5, P7, P9 & P10 relating to the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund alleged dues in respect of Stage Carriage Vehicle KRA 4122/KL10/B 1669 for the combined period 1999 - 2004 & for the period 2004 - 2005.
ii. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writs order or direction directing the 1st respondent to re-consider the matter afresh by taking disposition from each and every alleged employee and that all the alleged employees by giving their sufficient opportunity of being heard and produce the evidence if necessary to substantiate their claim in respect of their vehicles KRA 4122/KL10/B 1669 and make fresh assessment for the combined period 1999-2004 and 2004 - 2005
iii. Grant such other relief, as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper.
2. When the matter came up for consideration on 07.06.2006, interim order as prayed for was granted, which was extended from W.P.(C) No. 14758 of 2006 : 2 :
time to time, lastly on 09.08.2006, for a period of 'two weeks'. The interim order stands expired years back. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, there is no representation for the petitioner. It appears that the petitioners have lost interest in the cause of action projected in this writ petition. The Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
