Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned government Pleader. No notice is being issued to the 2nd respondent in view of the order which is being passed.
2. This writ petition is filed alleging police harassment and praying for a direction to the 1st respondent to desist from harassing the petitioner in any manner whatsoever. Petitioner claims that he has sold one vehicle to the 2nd respondent in the year 2011 for valid consideration. The allegation is that the 2nd respondent is pressurising the petitioner alleging that the consideration was not adequate and he should be compensated. The further allegation is that the 1st respondent, at the instance of 2nd respondent, is unnecessarily calling the petitioner and harassing the petitioner.
3. Learned Government Pleader, after obtaining instructions, submitted that with regard to the vehicle in WP(C) No. 31729 of 2014 -:2:-
question, for tax recovery, notice was issued to the 2nd respondent and Police has only called the petitioner on telephone to make the enquiry regarding the revenue recovery. Government Pleader submits that after finding that the matter relates to a contract between the parties, the matter has been closed at the instance of 2nd respondent and no further action has been taken.
In view of the above statement of the learned Government Pleader, we see no reason to continue the writ petition any further. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed.
