Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and learned Standing Counsel.
The applicant is before this Court against the wilful disobedience of the order dated 19.11.2018 passed by this Court in Public Interest Litigation No. 4803 of 2018.
In response to the order dated 27.8.2019, learned standing counsel has placed the instructions dated 28.9.2019 sent by the Sub Divisional Officer appending therein the decision under Section 67 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 indicating therein that the proceedings in question have been finalised on 25.9.2019. The instructions are taken on record.
Learned counsel for the applicant has apprised the Court that no doubt the proceedings have been finalised, but the same has not been complied with on the spot. Needless to say, the proceedings must be finalised to its logical conclusion within a period of six weeks.
The Contempt Application is disposed of accordingly. Notices if any stand discharged.
