Heard the counsel for the petitioners.
The grievance of the petitioners in the present writ petition is that their representation for cancellation of consolidation proceedings in the Village is not being decided.
The Standing Counsel has received instructions and on the basis of his instructions states that the recommendations have been made by the consolidation authorities to the Consolidation Commissioner, U.P. at Lucknow to cancel the consolidation operation in the village under Section 6(1) of the U.P Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953.
The petitioner may file a fresh representation regarding his claim before the Consolidation Commissioner, U.P Lucknow bringing all the necessary facts to his notice who on receiving the same shall decide the said representation through a reasoned order and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date a copy of this order along with the representation is served on him.
It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioners.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
