JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner is accused in Crime No.232 of 2014 of the Kumbla Police Station for the offence punishable under Sec.420 of the Indian Penal Code, apprehends arrest and has filed this application.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application.
It is submitted that the de facto complainant invested huge amount in the business proposed by the petitioner and he was cheated. It is submitted that the amount involved comes to around `73.5 lakhs as per version of the de facto complainant.
3. Learned counsel submits that the allegations are not true.
4. In the nature of allegations made, I am inclined to think that the petitioner could surrender before the investigating officer and when produced before the learned magistrate, seek bail.
The application is disposed of as under:
(i) Petitioner shall surrender before the officer investigating Crime No.232 of 2014 of the Kumbla Police Station on 26.06.2014 at 10 a.m for interrogation.
(ii) In case interrogation is not completed that day, it is open to the officer concerned to B.A.No.4054 of 2014 2 direct presence of the petitioner on other day/days and time as may be specified by him which the petitioner shall comply.
(iii) In case the petitioner is arrested, he shall be produced before the jurisdictional magistrate the same day.
