Petitioner applied for regular permit on the route Thalassery-Vengathode which route passes through rural and ill-served areas. The application for regular permit is pending consideration and, in the meanwhile, the petitioner applied for a temporary permit. It is only appropriate that Ext. P2, the temporary permit application be considered and allowed for a period of four months, especially, when the regular permit application is pending consideration. 2. In such circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Kannur, to grant and issue temporary permit, within a period of one week from the date of production of a certified copy of this judgment, if there is no legal impediment.
This Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
