Grievance of the petitioner is that certain police officials are interfering in religious rituals undertaken by the petitioner, who happens to be an office bearer of a charitable trust, namely, "Khushi Jivan Jyoti Satsung Seva Samiti".
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that interference by the police officials at the instance of certain private persons is in violation of the fundamental right of the petitioner enshrined under Article 26 of the Constitution of India.
Having considered all facts of the case, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this petition for writ by keeping the petitioner at liberty to agitate his cause before the District Magistrate, Azamgarh. The petitioner may submit a detailed representation ventilating his grievance to the District Magistrate, Azamgarh and the District Magistrate, Azamgarh, in turn, shall consider and decide the same in accordance with law.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
