The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2-Settlement Officer Consolidation, Mau to decide Appeal No. 1202 of 2016,under section 11(1) of the U.P.C.H. Act, Harikesh Singh Vs. Anil Singh and others, within a stipulated period of time.
Submission of the counsel for petitioner is that he has filed the appeal against the order of the Consolidation Officer dated 8.2.2016 on 9.12.2016 which is still pending since then.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued to the respondent no. 2-Settlement Officer Consolidation, Mau to decide Appeal No. 1202 of 2016,under section 11(1) of the U.P.C.H. Act, Harikesh Singh Vs. Anil Singh and others, in accordance with law expeditiously within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
