Hear learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AGA for the respondents-State and perused the record.
This petition for writ is preferred to challenge an order dated 31.01.2018 passed by the District Magistrate invoking powers under Section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act, 1970.
The petitioner has already availed a statutory remedy of appeal to challenge the order impugned and the appeal is pending consideration before the Appellate Authority.
In view of it, we do not find any just reason to interfere in this petition for writ. The same is dismissed. However, expeditious disposal of the appeal is desirable.
