The petitioner was the registered owner of the vehicle bearing No. KL-8-AJ-6079. According to the petitioner, the said vehicle was sold to the 1st respondent on the strength of Ext.P1 agreement dated 26.11.2009 and thereafter, the petitioner was never in possession or control over the vehicle.
2. Grievance of the petitioner is with regard to Exts.P2 to P4 proceedings whereby huge liability has been sought to be mulcted upon the petitioner with respect to the tax arrears from 01.01.2010 to 31.03.2014.
3. The learned Governed Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 2 to 6 submits that, as per the instructions received dated 24.10.2014 from the 3rd respondent, the subsequent purchaser of the vehicle has satisfied the entire tax arrears till 31.12.2014 and as such, no further proceedings are intended to be pursued against the petitioner.
The said submission is recorded. No further orders are called for and the writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
