Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Standing Counsel for respondents 1 and 2; Sri S.K. Tiwari for respondent no.3 and perused the record.
The grievance of the petitioner is that certain constructions on the roadside are being made by state instrumentalities without caring for proper drainage. Therefore, in that regard, a representation has been made by the petitioner to the District Magistrate, Basti. For consideration of the said representation, this petition has been filed.
Sri S.K. Tiwari, learned counsel representing the respondent no.3, submitted that such development work is being carried out by the District Urban Development Authority and therefore the petitioner may be given liberty to represent his grievance before the Project Officer of the District Urban Development Authority concerned.
In view of the above, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this petition by giving liberty to the petitioner to represent his grievance before the Project Officer, District Urban Development Authority, Basti (respondent no.4). If any such representation is filed along with certified copy of the order, the concerned authority shall look into the matter and, after calling for reports from the concerned officer/authorities, take appropriate decision thereon expeditiously, preferably, within next four weeks.
