1. Heard Ms. Tanisha Jahangir Monir, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
2. The petitioner's application dated 14.09.2018 for grant of fire-arm license is stated to be pending before the District Magistrate, Meerut (respondent no. 2). The petitioner claims entitlement under the heirloom category, though the time limit for grant of fire-arm license has just expired.
3. Without entering the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to the District Magistrate, Meerut (respondent no. 2) to decide the petitioner's application dated 14.09.2018, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months, from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
