Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; learned A.G.A. for the respondents 1 and 2; and perused the record.
The instant petition seeks quashing of the first information report dated 08.03.2021 registered as Case Crime No.157 of 2021, under Sections 406, 504, 506 IPC, P.S. Khalilabad, District Sant Kabir Nagar.
The allegation in the impugned first information report is in respect of swindling the money of the informant and of issuing cheques on a closed account. It is also alleged that when cheques got dishonoured, on demand of money, threats were extended.
Considering the nature of the allegations, the prayer to quash the first information report cannot be accepted.
The petition is dismissed without prejudice to the right of the petitioner to apply for bail/anticipatory bail, as may be advised.
