The petitioner has claimed for honorarium as per provisions of Uttar Pradesh Loktrant Senani Samman Adhiniyam, 2016.
It is stated that the petitioner during the period from 26 August 1975 to 21 June 1976 remained behind the bars being under preventive detention and his application to have honorarium has yet not been decided.
Having considered all facts of the case, we deem it appropriate to direct the District Magistrate, Ballia to consider and decide the application of the petitioner to have honorarium under the Act of 2016 in accordance with law expeditiously, as far as possible within period of three months from the date the petitioner presents a certified copy of this order before him.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
