JUDGMENT / ORDER

ANIL K.NARENDRAN, J.
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to give necessary Police protection to the Imam of Ahle Sunnath Hanafi Jamiah Masjid, Uppala and believers who attend the Mosque from the criminal activity of the 2nd respondent and his associates.
2. The learned Government Pleader on instructions submits that the issue with the 2nd respondent has already been settled and if there is any law and order problem, the Police will interfere. The learned counsel for the petitioner disputes the submission made by the learned Government Pleader that the issue has already been settled.
Recording the submission made by the learned Government Pleader, we dispose of this Writ Petition directing that, as and when there is any law and order problem or any W.P.C.No.11451/14 -2-
threat being caused by the 2nd respondent or his supporters, the petitioner can approach the 1st respondent with a petition seeking Police protection to the Imam and other believers who attend the Mosque, in which event, the 1st respondent shall afford necessary and adequate Police protection to the prayer and other religious activities carried on in the Mosque, from any threat or obstruction being caused by the 2nd respondent or his supporters.
