Petitioner is working as Settlement Officer Consolidation. He wants grade pay of Rs.6,600 with effect from 27.04.2010 and grade pay of Rs.7,600/- with effect from 22.07.2013, the dates on which juniors to him were granted the said benefit in accordance with Government Orders dated 04.05.2010 and 22.12.2011. The petitioner in this connection has made several representations and one of them happens to be dated 08.04.2015 to the Consolidation Commissioner-respondent no. 2.
It is submitted that the Consolidation Commissioner-respondent no. 2, in pursuance to the representations of the petitioner has made recommendations on 14th March 2016 and 19th April 2017 to the respondent no. 1 for the grant of the above grade pay to the petitioner, but the respondent no. 1 has not taken any action.
In view of the facts and circumstances, we dispose of the writ petition with the direction to the respondent no. 1 to consider the letter/recommendations of the respondent no. 2 dated 14th March 2016 and 19th April 2017 for the grant of grade pay as demanded by the petitioner in accordance with law, most expeditiously, if possible within a period of three months. In case, respondent no. 1 comes to the conclusion that the petitioner is so entitled to the grant of higher grade pay, the benefit thereof, may be extended to him within a month thereafter.
