JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner in the writ petition has the limited prayer of seeking a direction to the the respondent Bank for the issuance of Statement of Accounts. Admittedly, a loan was availed of in the year 2007 and default was committed thereof, upon which the Bank proceeded against the property and also took possession of the same. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent Bank on instructions submits that till date no repayment has been made in the loan account and that was the only reason why possession was taken. The learned counsel also submits that the minute the petitioner approaches the respondent Bank with a request for Statement of Accounts, the same will be issued. The petitioner also undertakes that he WP(C).11112/14 2 would make an attempt to settle the amounts if an One Time Settlement is offered.
3. In the above circumstances, there shall be a direction to the respondent Bank to consider the claim of the petitioner for One Time Settlement if such a Scheme is in vogue at present and if not, give the petitioner a reasonable time to settle the arrears due. The alienation of the property shall be kept in abeyance for a period of one month from today to enable the petitioner to make a representation on that count, along with a certified copy of this judgment; as also the Bank to issue orders in writing to the petitioner within the aforesaid period.
Writ petition disposed of.
