Heard learned counsel for the applicant and Shri P.K. Giri, the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel.
A writ petition alleging that 20 decimal of private land of the petitioner had been utilized for construction of the road was disposed of with a direction to the Collector Jaunpur to take a decision.
It is not disputed that disputes of this character and claims for compensation are to be decided by a committee headed by the concerned Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) in terms of the Government Order dated 12 May 2016.
Learned counsel for the applicant points out that the District Magistrate has already remitted the matter for disposal to the concerned Additional District Magistrate on 19 September 2017 and yet no further action has been taken.
Shri Giri, the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel states that the concerned Additional District Magistrate shall ensure that the claim of the applicant is duly enquired into and disposed of on merits in accordance with law within a period of one month today. The statement so made is recorded and accepted.
The petition is disposed of.
