JUDGMENT / ORDER

Hon'ble Ran Vijai Singh,J.
We have heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and have perused the record.
The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the petitioners are "Jat Sikh" and are entitled for being issued a caste certificate as O.B.C. as in the U.P. Act No. 4 of 1994. Learned counsel further contends that the petitioners no. 1, 2 and 3 have filed their applications dated 2.8.2011, 29.7.2011 and 29.7.2011 respective before the Tahsildar, Tahsil Pooranpur, District Pilibhit, respondent no.2, for the said purpose but the same has yet not been disposed of and are pending. He further contends that the said issue has been decided by a Division Bench of this Court in Civil Misc. Writ Petition No. 30727 of 2000 Baldev Singh vs. Tehsildar Bilaspur vide Judgment and Order dated 25.8.2000 and the ratio of the said case would be fully applicable to the facts of the present case.
Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, we dispose of this writ petition with the direction that the Tahsildar, Tehsil Pooranpur, District Pilibhit, respondent no.2, shall dispose of the applications of the petitioners in terms of the Judgment of this Court dated 25.8.2000 passed in writ petition no. 30727 of 2000, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order before him.
