Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to complete the investigation in Crime No.8 of 2016 within a stipulated time prescribed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she has lodged a complaint with the second respondent police as against her husband and in laws and the same was registered in Crime No.8 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 30.3.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.8 of 2016 pending on her file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
