2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider his representation dated 14.06.2016 seeking to release the lorry bearing Registration No.TN 22 AR 6399 seized by the 2nd respondent.
3. Mr.N.A.Nizar Ahmed, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2016 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a time frame. Further, the learned counsel submitted that the lorry bearing Registration No.TN 22 AR 6399 is lying with the 2nd respondent for the past three months.
4. Mr.R.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 14.06.2016 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
