JUDGMENT / ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed praying for return of the original sale deed dated 30.3.2015 registered as document No.2465 of 2015 on the file of the 3rd respondent, since the document has been retained with the 3rd respondent.
2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that aggrieved against the order passed by the District Revenue Officer (Stamps), Office of the Collectorate, the petitioner has preferred an appeal under section 47 A(5) of the Stamp Act, 1899 r/w.Rule 9 of the Taminadu Stamp (Prevention of under Valuation of Instruments) Rules, 1968, before the Appellate Authority/Inspector General of Registrar, Government of Tamilnadu, who is the first respondent herein and the same is pending.
3. It is seen that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is now pending with the 1st respondent herein/appellate authority, therefore, it is suffice to state that the appellate authority/1st respondent shall consider the said appeal on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
