JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner joined in the third respondent school as B.T.Assistant, as per the order of appointment dated 25.9.2014 bearing Na.Ka.No.68681/C5/E2/2014. Even before such appointment, she got married and also delivered twin girl children in 2011. Again she became pregnant and applied for sanction of maternity leave on 10.3.2017 through proper channel. The third respondent has also, through proper channel, forwarded the request with the recommendation to the first respondent in March, 2017, citing the earlier circular for sanction of maternity leave. But till date, no order has been passed. Therefore, the petitioner has come to this Court.
2. Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought two weeks time to pass orders on the petitioner's request.
3. In view of the above, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider the request of the petitioner, in the light of the recommendation made by the third respondent, and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. Consequently, W.M.P.No.15149 of 2017 is closed. No costs.
