JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
2 The father of the petitioner, namely N.Karunkaran, was appointed as Inspector of Hand Boring Set-Grade II in the services of the Agricultural Department on 29.10.1984, and he was permitted to retire from service vide proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 30.09.2015 with effect from 27.02.2015 on account of medical invalidation. The petitioner, being the daugther of Karunakaran, has submitted a representation dated 21.10.2016 to the respondents stating among other things, that she has B.Com., qualification and her elder brother had passed away in an accident and the benefits received by her father have been spent to meet out the medical expenses and though she is married, she is looking after aged mother and father and therefore, prays for appointment on compassionate ground in commensurate with her qualification and though the said representation was received and acknowledged, so far, no orders have been passed and therefore, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
3 Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
4 Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2016 in accordance with law and if the papers are otherwise in order, forward a proposal to the 1st respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and upon receipt of such proposal, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a further period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
