Heard Sri Ram Pratap Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Abhishek Shukla, the learned Standing Counsel.
This writ petition is preferred for seeking a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 / Up-Ziladhikari, Sadar, District Azamgarh to decide application dated 26.7.2017 (Govind and others Vs. Gaon Sabha and others) filed under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006, within a stipulated period.
The learned Standing Counsel submits that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the petition pending, it be disposed of by giving appropriate direction to the authority concerned.
The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent no.2 / Up-Ziladhikari, Sadar, District Azamgarh to decide application dated 26.7.2017 (Govind and others Vs. Gaon Sabha and others) filed under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within 3 months from the date of production of certified copy of the order after hearing the parties concerned, in accordance with law.
