ORDER:
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for the respondents.
This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the second respondent in not releasing the seized wood and machinery in POR.No.35/125/07, dated 26.6.2010 and POR No.37/125/07, dated 29.6.2010 covered under proceedings Rc.No.2073/09/S2, darted 1.2.2010 to the petitioner.
After several hearings of the Writ Petition, the second respondent issued proceedings No.1766/2010/S2, dated 03.09.2014 stating that as per the orders of this Court dated 04.04.2014 and request made by the petitioner in the application dated 27.10.2014, the excess timber of 0.370 cmt and 2.889 cmt was confiscated to State vide proceedings dated 15.07.2014 and the permitted timber of 8.529 cmt along with machinery were released to the petitioner. It was further stated that the compounding fee paid by the petitioner was taken into account.
The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has some grievance against the aforesaid orders,but in view of the circumstances, he does not want to pursue the Writ Petition any further.
In view of the aforesaid submissions, the Writ Petition is closed.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petition shall stand closed. No costs.
