2. The grievance of the petitioner is that she gave a complaint on 10.06.2014, but no action was taken on that. Subsequently, when she visited the respondent police station, another complaint was taken from her on 17.06.2014. However, neither the F.I.R. was registered nor complaint was investigated.
3. When the present writ petition came up on 08.07.2014, this court directed the learned Government Pleader to get instructions.
4. Today, learned Government Pleader submits that on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner, dated 17.06.2014, F.I.R. was registered in Crime No.394 of 2014 at Arundelpet police station for the offence punishable under Section 509 r/w Sec.3 (1)(x) of the SC, ST (POA) Act, 1989. The instructions further state that investigation is taken up and statement of as many as 10 witnesses have been recorded.
5. In view of the fact that the investigation is already taken up and is under progress, in my view, no further directions are called for except directing the Station House Officer, respondent No.5, to complete the investigation expeditiously and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
With the above direction, writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
