For Petitioner : Mr. C. Prakasam for M/s.L. Karthiga O R D E R This revision petition is filed seeking for a direction to the Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the HMOP No.4617 of 2016 within a stipulated period.
2. The revision petitioner has filed the HMOP No.4617 of 2017 before the Family Court, Chennai for restitution of conjugal rights. According to the petitioner, the respondent is wantonly dragging on the proceedings, without appearing before the court below and therefore has filed the present revision petition, for the aforesaid prayer.
3. According to the petitioner, the respondent has not filed counter affidavit in the HMOP. Further, the respondent has also filed I.A. No.1622 of 2017 for visiting rights of his son and the same is also pending.
4. Taking into consideration the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the Interlocutory Application in I.A. No.1622 of 2017 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and to dispose the petition in HMOP No.4617 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible.
5. The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No order as to costs.
