Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State.

A civil suit between the parties is already been pending before the competent Civil Court.

The petitioners may be well advised to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of their grievance but a writ petition in a matter where a civil suit is already pending will not lie and cannot be entertained in exercise of writ jurisdiction before the Court. The general order passed by the High Court, applicable if any, shall be ensured to be complied with by the local police on making an appropriate application.

With the aforesaid observations the writ petition is disposed of.
