HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C.V.NAGARJUNA REDDY CONTEMPT CASE No.1160 of 2014 Date:14.08.2014 Between:
Golamari Laxmi Reddy, S/o Gali Reddy and another.
. Petitioners And:
Sri Dilip Kumar, Tahsildar, Pedaraveedu Mandal, Prakasam District.
. Respondent Counsel for the Petitioners: Sri P.Laxma Reddy Counsel for the Respondent: GP for Revenue for the State of Andhra Pradesh The Court made the following:
ORDER:
This Contempt Case is filed alleging willful disobedience of order, dated 01.11.2013, in Writ Petition No.4284 of 2012.
By the above-mentioned order, this Court has directed the respondent herein to forthwith return the pattadar passbooks and title deeds to the petitioners, leaving it open to the aggrieved parties to avail appropriate remedies in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971, if they feel aggrieved by the issue of the pattadar passbooks and title deeds to the petitioners.
At the hearing, Sri P.Laxma Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners, stated that though the respondent has returned the pattadar passbooks and title deeds to his clients, before doing the same, he has not corrected the entries therein.
In my opinion, in the absence of any direction to correct the entries, the action of the respondent in not correcting the entries before returning the pattadar passbooks and title deeds to the petitioners does not constitute contempt. Hence, the Contempt Case is dismissed.
