JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to issue legal heir certificate based on his application, dated 18.04.2017.
2.The petitioner would contend that his son, namely, Vignesh Babu got married with one Lakshmi Priya on 02.03.2015 and on 07.08.2016, they met with an accident and died on the spot, when they were returning back to Madurai from Courtalam. A case in Crime No.135 of 2015 was registered by Ayikudi Police Station in Tirunelveli District in this regard.
3.The petitioner would claim that the respondent has issued legal heir certificate for his son Vignesh Babu, but for the death of his daughter-in- law, an application was still pending and therefore, the present writ petition.
4.Heard Mr.C.M.Arumugam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 18.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
