(Per : HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE MR.BHASKAR BHATTACHARYA) As prayed for by the learned Advocate General, a fortnight's time is granted for giving further affidavit and explaining some of the statements made in the rejoinder filed by the petitioner. Mr. Trivedi, learned Advocate General has today submitted before us that the investigation in the matter will be continued by the Officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent of Police under the direct supervision of an officer of the rank of DIG or above.
In view of such statement made by the learned Advocate General, we direct the State to proceed with the investigation in that way under the direct supervision of the rank of an Officer of DIG or above, through Deputy Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent of Police.
Let this matter appear after a fortnight i.e. on March 1, 2012.
