The present controversy relates to non-payment of retiral dues to the petitioner.
The contention of the petitioner is that during pendency of the writ petition, the dues have been paid to the petitioner on 8.1.2021 in view of the order passed by this Court on 20.11.2020, however, the interest has not yet been paid.
The petitioner claims to have retired on 28.2.2018 and the retiral dues have been paid on 8.1.2021. Consequently, in view of the law settled, the petitioner shall be entitled to interest for the period 28.2.2018 upto 8.1.2021 @ 8% per annum.
The interest for the period as directed above shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of three months from today.
The writ petition stands disposed off in terms of the said order.
Copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court shall be treated as certified copy of the order.
