By order dated 10.10.2017 passed in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No. 47343 of 2017, Tehsildar, Tehsil Phoolpur, District Allahabad was directed to enquire into the matter and pass appropriate orders keeping in mind the judgment of the Supreme Court in the case of Jagpal Singh and Others vs. State of Punjab and Others, (2011) 11 SCC 396 as well as the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court in Public Interest Litigation Petition No. 63380 of 2012 (Prem Singh vs. State of U.P. and Others) within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of the order is received in his office.
On the matter being taken up today, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel Sri P.K. Giri states that eviction order was passed on 20.07.2018 and it has been implemented on 22.07.2018.
In view of the aforesaid stand taken by the opposite party, this Court does not find any good reason to keep the instant proceedings pending.
Accordingly, the contempt application is consigned to record.
