JUDGMENT / ORDER

Thottathil B.Radhakrishnan, J. 1. Sixth respondent is present. He is represented through counsel. Fourth respondent, Sub Inspector of Police, Ranni Police Station, is also present. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned public prosecutor and the learned counsel for the sixth respondent.
2. It is submitted by the learned public prosecutor, on the basis of the instructions of the Sub Inspector of Police, Ranni, who is present, that a man missing case in re Anju George has been registered on the basis of complaint lodged by the sixth respondent, her husband, and the investigation, apparently, indicates that she had eloped with one Renjith. There is also a suggestion that the Ranjith and Anju have prior acquaintance and had even undergone some ceremony in a temple. The police WP(Crl.)454/14 -2-
appear to indicate that even Anju's father had knowledge about such familiarity of Anju with Renjith, even before Anju was married to the sixth respondent. We record the submission on behalf of the sixth respondent that even he wants a complete and fair investigation in the matter and would, therefore, co-operate with the police in the investigation. The petitioner shall also co- operate with the police in the investigation. The learned public prosecutor submits that a special team has been constituted and the investigation is being vigorously carried on. We record the said submission and order this writ petition leaving the petitioner and the sixth respondent with liberty to move superior police officers, in case they apprehend any lethargy in the investigation process, in due time. This writ petition is ordered accordingly.
