JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers :
“a) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ or order extending the time fixed in Exhibit P1 order for production of certificates/documents showing exemption from Income tax, by a further two months from 16.10.2014 b) To issue such other appropriate writ, order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem just and fit under the circumstances of the case.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the dispute with regard to change in classification and such other aspects with reference to the electricity connection provided to the petitioner has been finalized as per Ext. P1 order dated 14.07.2014 passed by the first respondent/Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (South), Kottarakkara. The operative portion of the said order reads as follows :
W.P.(C) No. 26457 of 2014 : 2 :
“Having regard to the entire facts and circumstances of the case this complaint is disposed with the following direction :
(i) The petitioner may obtain and produce necessary certificate/documents showing exemption from income tax, to the opposite party within 2 months from the date of receipt of this order and in such an event the opposite party shall revise the tariff on the basis of such documents.
(ii) No order as to cost.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that so as to give effect to Ext. P1 order, the petitioner has already moved the authorities of Income Tax by filing Ext. P3 application for registration under Section 12 AA of the Income Tax Act and that the petitioner has been called for the hearing, which was scheduled on 29.09.2014. In view of the relinquishment of a short time to have the proceedings finalized, the limited prayer is only to grant a further period of two months from 16.10.2014 to comply with the direction given by the CGRF vide Ext. P1.
4. Heard the learned standing counsel appearing for the Electricity Board and the learned standing counsel appearing for the additional third respondent.

5. After hearing both the sides, the writ petition is disposed of, granting further period of 'two months' to the petitioner to produce the requisite materials before the second respondent, so as to take further steps in terms of Ext. P1 order passed by the CGRF.
