ORDER
The petitioner had filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders, expeditiously on the petitioner's statutory appeal filed under section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 dated 27.04.2017 for re-classifying the Government Poramboke land as Punja lands in Survey No.330/1, Madarupappanchathiram Village, No.100, Pazhangur, Poonamallee Revenue Division, Tiruvallur District.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of petitioner's appeal filed before the first respondent on 27.04.2017, the same has not been disposed of by the first respondent till date.
3. Mrs.K.Bhuvaneshwari, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 27.04.2017 filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
