In the result, (i) These Civil Miscellaneous Appeals are partly allowed, reducing the award of the Tribunal, from Rs.4,21,224/- (Rupees Four lakhs twenty one thousand two hundred and twenty four only) to a sum of Rs.3,61,224/- (Rupees Three lakhs sixty one thousand two hundred and twenty four only) and from Rs.4,45,969/- (Rupees Four lakhs forty five thousand nine hundred and sixty nine only) to a sum of Rs.3,85,969/- (Rupees Three lakhs eighty five thousand nine hundred and sixty nine only) along with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of petition till date of realisation and proportionate costs;
(ii)The respondent/Transport Corporation is directed to deposit the entire award amount with accrued interests and costs, less the amount already deposited, if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. On such deposit being made, the appellants/claimants are permitted to withdraw the entire award amount, with accrued interests and costs, without filing any formal application before the Tribunal. No Costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
