DAVE Date : 17/02/2012 ORAL ORDER Heard the learned advocate for the applicant and the learned APP. Perusal of the report submitted by the Police Inspector, Sold High Court Police Station, Ahmedabad City, would reveal no progress in the investigation and the daughter of the applicant is not yet traceable.
In view of the above, the investigation with regard to the subject matter be carried out by the CID Crimes, Gujarat State, and all the papers pertaining to the enquiry/investigation so far carried out be taken over by the CIDCrimes, Gujarat, and a report shall be submitted accordingly.
Any dereliction or failure in this regard would result into serious note that will be taken by this Court.
Primafacie, it appears that no sincere efforts have been made to trace out the daughter of the applicant and, if need be, on the next date of hearing, appropriate direction will be issued to the Director General of Police for taking departmental action against the erring officers who may be held responsible for such things.
