The present petition has been filed seeking to assail the orders in terms of which the application filed by the petitioner for grant of firearm license has been refused and also the order whereby the appeal filed thereagainst has also been rejected.
Counsel for the petitioner Sri V.S. Parmar submits that in view of the Arms Rules, 2016 which are now in force he does not wish to press the present petition and prays for withdrawal of the writ petition so that he may apply afresh for the arms licence.
Sri Naushad Siddiqui, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents has no objection to the prayer so made.
The writ petition is dismissed as not pressed with liberty to the petitioner to apply for a license afresh if she is so eligible.
